The New Direction
I started a blog before, but it lacked clarity, focus, direction and intention; it was literally all over the map without ever discussing anything literary. Mostly I wrote non-consequential and nonsensical things—basic crap that no one would care about, now or ever. Also, I had difficulty finding a blogging service that I was satisfied with. Blogger caused me many a woe when Google took it over: there were just too many glitches for me; I also found Vox to be too darn bubbly, and they definitely crowd way too much junk on one page for my liking.
With that in mind, I’ve decided to revamp my blog (on WordPress, no less) to focus, as the title implies, specifically on sharpening my thoughts on literature. I’m talking low brow, highbrow, pop culture…it doesn’t matter. If it is a printed narrative and contains at the least a kernel of a story, and I have read it, then I will delve into it in this venue.
Ultimately this blog will be all about books, the intention of which is to continually keep up with reading and writing—simultaneously.
